Running Hydration Belt with Water Bottles

Running Hydration Belt with Water Bottles

I live in Atlanta. It’s hot, humid and hilly as all get out. When we started running longer distances I learned quickly that I need to bring water with me to stay hydrated or I was going to get some serious heat exhaustion one day. I did a bunch of research on hydration hip belts and came across great reviews for this one. And the price was excellent. Rarely do you find something with such great reviews at such a good price.

I was worried this was going to aggravate me on my run since I’ve never used a hip belt like this before. But, honestly I don’t notice it for the most part. It stays in place and doesn’t bounce all that much. I will say though I normally keep my phone on my arm band for easy access. But a couple times I’ve put my phone in my hip belt. The extra weight of the phone (along with two full water bottles) did cause the belt to bounce quite a bit. Especially since I was wearing slick nylon shorts and they were a bit wet from my sweat. So it’s just another reason to continue keeping my phone on my arm and not in the belt.

The belt is made of a neoprene type material that drys nicely. It seems very durable as well. The inside has a couple slots to organize what you are carrying. I’m not sure how useful this is but could see it being handy on occasion depending on what you are carrying.

The water bottles look very small but even on my longest runs I haven’t run out yet. The belt has a band to keep them from falling out but the pockets are fairly tight anyway. I tend to leave the bands off during my run for easier access to the bottles.
