Goal: Run as far as possible in 60 min

End Result: 5.32 miles

These 60 minute runs are a great baseline test, you can do them at any time in order to see your progress. One thing to remember when comparing your 60 minute AFAP (as far as possible) runs to one another is taking into consideration other workouts you did prior. If you had an easy week when you performed this last and then had a relatively challenging workout week prior to the next baseline test the next you may not see as much progress as you expected, and that’s okay. Just understand it was due your muscles being exhausted and not the fact that you’re not getting better.
